Meet Maple & Maize: September Pets of the Month
September means one important thing around Dollar Bill Printing.
The GOATs have finally handed Pet of the Month back to the dogs.
And Maple and Maize are ready for their turn.
Meet September’s Pets of the Month, Maple and Maize, two half-siblings with very different personalities and absolutely no shortage of opinions.
Meet Maple
Maple is the brown one.
She is 2 years old and, according to Kristen, a bit of a diva.
She knows what she wants, likes things her way, and is not especially interested in pretending otherwise.
Maple also has a strong herding instinct, which means there is always a chance she has decided the people around her are simply livestock that need better organization.
Someone has to keep everyone in line.
Meet Maize
Maize is the black one and the older half-sibling at 3 years old.
He is also the more vocal member of the pair.
If Maize has something to say, there is a good chance everyone nearby is going to hear about it.
Like Maple, he has plenty of herding instinct. Between the two of them, Kristen never has to wonder whether the household is being properly supervised.
It is.
Constantly.
A Very Ann Arbor Pair
The names Maple and Maize have a little local history behind them.
Their names were inspired by their parents’ time in Ann Arbor, making Maize an especially fitting name for a dog with University of Michigan roots in the family.
And these two are not exactly camera shy.
Last year, Maple and Maize even joined Kristen for her engagement photos.
Because apparently an engagement photo session is not officially complete until the dogs approve it.
Two Personalities. One Family.
Maple may be the diva.
Maize may be the talker.
But together, they make a pretty great pair.
We love hearing about the pets behind the people and organizations we work with, and these two definitely gave us plenty to work with.
