Meet Puffin: October Pet of the Month

One of these Halloween decorations is watching you.

Meet Puffin, our October Pet of the Month. This six-year-old black cat belongs to Kimberly at UM Admissions, and she fits right into the season.

A Very Good Find

During the pandemic, Kimberly and her family drove to Stanton, Michigan, to adopt Puffin.

That trip brought a new member into the family and, according to Kimberly, a whole lot of love.

We’d say that was a drive worth making.

Part of the Décor

This time of year, Puffin has a favorite hiding spot: among the Halloween decorations.

She settles in and watches for someone to pass by. With her black fur and patient approach, she has everything she needs to become a very convincing part of the display.

Until she moves.

Puffin’s Favorite Season

For her October feature, we gave Puffin’s portraits a Halloween makeover. Our animated photo gallery gives her a few turns in the spotlight, with considerably less searching through the decorations.

A big thank-you to Kimberly from UM Admissions for sharing Puffin and her story with us.

Happy October, Puffin. We’ll watch where we step.
